Stabilized form of L-carnitine (500 mg).

Heart and skeletal muscle contain abundant amounts of L-carnitine that is essential for meeting tissue energy demands by transporting fatty acids to the mitochondria. Normal endogenous production of L-carnitine can be inadequate in patients with kidney disease, diabetes, liver dysfunction, hyperlipidemias, and cardiac problems, thus requiring supplementation. This more stable form of L-carnitine is less susceptible in a dry form to the effects of moisture than pure L-carnitine USP. Supplies 500 mg of elemental L-carnitine per capsule and is free of synthetic D- or DL- carnitine.

Suggested Use: 1 to 2  capsules twice daily.
